The upcoming less known day….

For many reading this, the family feast of Thanksgiving is something that people are looking forward to right now.  Many, including ourselves, are looking forward to getting together with relatives that are seen only a couple of times a year.

Equally important to some, and much less known or talked about, is that November 21st is National Adoption Day!  National Adoption Day is a collective, national effort to raise awareness of the more than 100,000 children in foster care waiting to find permanent, loving homes.

I just read that 4,500 children were adopted by their forever families during the 15th annual National Adoption Day in 2014.  Thank you adoptive parents for opening your hearts and homes to this love and commitment.  Praise God for the gift of these children and that these young ones now have a family to share their Holidays with.

Although I chose to write about this topic, the path that Paul and I are on is a much different one.  The foster-to-adopt program has it’s own laws, rules, and struggles that are separate from the Domestic Infant Adoption program.

If you or someone you know (who is pregnant) is looking to make an adoption plan, we would love to hear from you.  If you have any questions about Domestic Infant Adoption, please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.
